جگر کی سختی یا سکڑ جانے کو سیروسس آف لیور کہتے ہیں
یہ مرض بہت آہستہ پیدا ہوتا اور بڑھتا ہے جب تک اس کی تشخیص ہوتی ہے یہ آخری سٹیج پر پہنچ چکا ہوتا ہے
سروسس یا جگر کے سکڑ جانے کے مرض میں سوزش کی وجہ سے جگر سخت ہو جاتا ہے جگر میں فاسد ریشے پیدا ہو جاتے ہیں یہ فا سد ریشے جگر کی بیماری کا باعث بنتے ہیں اس بیماری میں جگرسائز میں چھوٹا ہو جاتا ہے اگر ریشے زیادہ بنیں تو جگر پھیل جاتا ہے۔
